Overview

This procedure describes how to setup and use PC Anywhere on the ABBASOFT Demo machine for a Dial-In/Dial-Out Demo using RAS Connections.
 

Procedure

Local Host Side (ABBASOFT Office):

(Demo PC) If the Prospect is dialing in using PCAnywhere...

    1. Start up PCAnywhere and Select, 'Be a Host PC'
    2. Select, 'Network'
    3. Go to 'Action' and select, 'Wait for Connection'

 

Client Side (Prospect outside the office we are doing the demo for):

If a Prospect is dialing into our site...

Obtain from Technical Support the User Name and Password to give to the Prospect, and when it will be needed (for security we turn off that User and change the password between demo's)

If the Prospect needs help in setting up a Dial-Up Networking connection send them PM.600

Have the Prospect dial 1-949-830-9920 using the Dial-Up networking connection and the given User Name/Password.

Once connected

If using PCAnywhere

If using Telnet

Have the Prospect go to startà Run and enter in Telnet 209.80.42.16

If using wIntegrate

 

NOTE: If we are dialing into a customer’s Computer Using PC Anywhere, the Prospect should Select Wait for connections and the Local Side should Select Connect, all other steps would remain the same.
