ROUTER
CONTROL
The
ABBASOFT Technologies Router Control
module defines and organizes any process
required to manufacture a product. Though
not restricted to product manufacturing,
the Router Control module is designed to
integrate with the ABBASOFT Manufacturing
system, feeding information to the Shop
Floor, Project Management (Work Order),
and Capacity Planning modules. Router
operations are defined by description,
set-up time, run-time, move-time, outside
processing and other special criteria.
Several types of routers are supported
with this module including Estimated,
Standard, and Work Order routers.
KEY
BENEFITS
- Ability
to enter, modify, correct, and
review standard routers provides
ease in bringing together each
step of the operation.
- Establish
standard work centers and
operations for use in all routers
for consistency in job
processing.
Router
Control Features
| Operation
Codes entry allows definition of
a particular process with up to
ten lines of description for use
in routers. Set-up time,
Run-time, and Move-time for the
process can be included as well
as the Work Center where the
process is performed. Work
Center definition includes work
center rate (dollars), outside
processing costs, number of
shifts per day, work center
capacity, and percentage
efficiency.
Specification
Master files maintain information
on drawings associated with a
manufactured product and include:
- Revision
Level
- Engineering
change order number
- Last
ECO date
- Drawing

Reports
may be sent to the terminal or
printer to list files for
Operations, Specifications, Part
Numbers, and Routers.

Router
Card Entry assembles operation
codes and their associated work
centers and costs into a sequence
of events that facilitate any
production. Changes in operation
sequence are easily made at any
time. Routers can also be locked
or released for production
control. Drawings
or Images may be imported and
printed on the router cards since
each operation on the router has
an Image ID imbedded in it.
Part
definitions can also be performed
with complete part specifications
that include:
- Part
Types
- Scrap
Factors
- Lot
or Serial Tracking
- Product
Categories
- Receiving
Inspection
- Complete
Quantity Status
Work
Centers can be defined by
capacity in shifts, shifts per
day, shift productivity, rates
for labor and burdens,
effectiveness and other related
criteria.
